Services for Gene Cook, age 100 of Dublin, will be held at 2:00 PM Wednesday, May 27, 2015, in the chapel of Townsend Brothers Funeral Home. Dr. Cliff Morris will officiate. He will be buried beside his wife at Dublin Memorial Gardens privately. Visitation will be Wednesday from 1:00 PM until 2:00 PM at the funeral home. Mr. Cook was a lifelong resident of Dublin. He was preceded in death by his parents, R. J. Cook and Mable Fuqua Cook, wife Zula Littleton Cook, and a brother, B.W. Cook. He was a lifetime member of First Baptist Church and was retired from Cordell Lumber Co after many years of service. He was a Master SGT in the Army Air Corps during World War II serving in North Africa and Italy. Mr. Cook passed away Saturday, May 23, 2015. Mr. Cook is survived by his sons, Edd (Delinda) Cook and Dale Cook, and a granddaughter, Patricia Cook, several nieces and nephews.
