Edwena P. Bankston, age 87 of Dublin, passed away on Thursday, August 21, 2014. Graveside services will be held on Monday, August 25, 2014 at 10:00AM in Dublin Memorial Gardens. Rev. Tom Vann will officiate. Mrs. Bankston was born in Albany, GA to the late Tommy Powell and the late Lillie Mae O'Malley Powell. She was a homemaker and a member of Rentz Baptist Church. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her daughter, Gail Patricia Bankston Leddy and four brothers, Henry Powell, Theo Powell, Jimmy Powell, and Fred Powell. Survivors include her husband, Mack Bankston of Dublin; daughter, Shelley Watkins (Bill) of Evans; son, Mike Bankston (Donna) of Vidalia; grandchildren, Dawn Yarbrough (Daniel) of Houston, TX, Eric Yarbrough (Ashley) of Greensboro, GA, Dennie Yarbrough of Aspen, CO, Micah Leddy (Jessica) of Columbia, SC, Leslie Ann Leddy of Bolder, CO, Lindsey Blount (Chris) of Vidalia, Julie Bankston of Reston, VA and Connor Watkins of Charlotte, NC; five great grandchildren, sister, Elouise Handley (Jim) of Jonesboro; brothers, Gilbert Powell of TN and William Oaks Powell of Tallahassee, FL and several nieces and nephews.
