Services for Edwin Paul Fountain, age 79, of Rentz, GA will be held on Friday, October 1, 2010 at 2:00 p.m. at Rentz Baptist Church with burial to follow in the Rentz Cemetery. Reverend Tom Vann and Reverend Grady Mimbs will officiate. Mr. Fountain was a member of Rentz Baptist Church and the Over Comers Sunday School Class. He was a US Army Veteran of the Korean War and was a member of Dexter Lodge 340 F&AM. He was an avid golfer and served as past president of Green Acers Golf Course. He was the son of the late Allen B. Fountain and the late Melissa Martin Fountain. Mr. Fountain passed away Wednesday, September 29, 2010 after an extended illness. Survivors include his wife, Ector Hobbs Fountain of Rentz, two daughters; Sharon (David) Hogan of Dublin and Kathy Fountain of Milledgeville, granddaughter; Missy (Joseph) Leach of Dexter, grandson; Brandon (Ashley) Hogan of Dublin and two great-grandchildren, Bailey Leach and Riley Hogan, sister-in-law, Frances Thigpen and niece, Jane Durden and nephew Tony Frost. Pallbearers will be Brandon Hogan, Travis Patisaul, Dee Mullis, Justin Stuckey, Daniel Lampp and Ryan Brooks. Honorary pallbearers will be Edgar Blanchett, Johnson Faircloth, Beaman Price, Paul Aikey, Tom Brown, Ike Coleman, Cecil Passmore, Roger Lord, Lou Carver, LaRue Fountain, Thomas Hilton and Sammy Martin. The family will receive friends on Thursday evening from 6:00p.m. until 8:00p.m. at Townsend Brothers Funeral Home.
