Services for Edwin "Pete" Malcom, age 76 of Dublin, will be held on Sunday, August 5, 2012 at 3:00PM in the Chapel of Townsend Brothers Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Northview Cemetery. Dr. Jack Key will officiate. Mr. Malcom passed away on Thursday, August 2, 2012. Pete was a self-employed peanut vendor and delivered fish for several fish markets in the community. He was a collector of radios and watches. He was the self proclaimed "Peanut King". Mr. Malcom was preceded in death by his parents, Ernest Mell and Ida Ogletree Malcom; two brothers, Ernest Malcom and Robert Malcom and two sisters, Agnes Dooley and Christine Malcom. Survivors include two sisters, Edith Garnto and Hilda Lord, both of Dublin; brother, Fred Malcom, Sr. of Centerville and 13 special nieces and nephews. Mr. Pete's nephews will serve as pallbearers. The family will receive friends on Sunday from 2:00PM until the funeral hour at Townsend Brothers Funeral Home. The family would like to thank the many caregivers at Dublinair Nursing Home.
