Graveside services for Edwin "Eddie" Parr, age 83 of Cadwell, will be held at 2:00PM on Thursday, February 14, 2013 at Dublin Memorial Gardens. Rev. Al Haywood will officiate. Mr. Parr was a member of Cadwell Baptist church. He was a retired United States Navy Veteran after 20 years of service. He was the son of the late Cecil Parr and the late Ollie Biggs Parr. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his wife, Della Ruth Willams Parr. Mr. Parr passed away on Monday, February 11, 2013. Survivors include three daughters, Sharon Parr Shiver of Hartford, AL, Lorene Parr Daum of Willow Springs, MO, Carolyn Parr Platt of Cadwell; son, Robert Parr of Cadwell; two brothers, Otis Parr and Leroy Parr, both of CA; 5 grandsons, Travis Vance, Todd Jason Parr, Randy Tate, Tim Phillips and Kyler Parr; 4 granddaughters, Bambi NeSmith, Mandy Grindstaff, Rachel Platt and Mindy Platt; 9 great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends on Wednesday evening from 6:00PM until 8:00PM at Townsend Brothers Funeral Home.
