Elaine Sanders Mullis, age 80, of Dublin, passed away on Sunday, October 23, 2022, surrounded by her loving family.

Mrs. Mullis was born in Laurens County on February 26, 1942, to the late Malcolm Lamar Sanders and Oreta Daniel Sanders. She was a member of Marie Baptist Church, a member of Faith Ladies Sunday School Class, and served her church in many different aspects. Mrs. Mullis owned and operated Circle Y Restaurant for 20 years.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Talmage Mullis Jr., and a brother, Wayne Sanders.

She is survived by her children, Robin Flanders (John) of East Dublin, Holly Smith (Kevin) of Dublin, and Jay Mullis (Julie) of Dublin, grandchildren, Amelia Smith of Marietta, Sanders Smith (Jayne) of Marietta, Cole Mullis of Dublin, Abby Mullis of Dublin, and Eden Mullis of Dublin, and a great-grandchild, Harper Smith.

The family will receive friends on Monday, October 24, 2022, at Townsend Brothers Funeral Home from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM. Funeral services will be held on October 25, 2022, at 2:00 PM at Marie Baptist Church. Burial will follow in Dublin Memorial Gardens. Rev. Bobby Hutto will officiate.
