Graveside services for Elizabeth Cole Boyer, age 91, of Dublin will be held at 11:00 AM Thursday, December 20, 2012, at Dublin Memorial Gardens. Dr. Joel Dent, Rev. Steve Patton, and Dr. Jack Key will officiate. The family will receive friends at Townsend Brothers Funeral Home from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM on Wednesday. Mrs. Boyer died Tuesday, December 18, 2012. Mrs. Boyer was predeceased by her parents, Joe Eddie Cole and Margie Hall Cole, and her husband, Julian E. Boyer. She was a member of Pine Forest United Methodist Church and a member of the church's Fellowship Sunday School Class, Susanna Wesley Circle, Senior Foresters, and Golden Notes Choir. Mrs. Boyer enjoyed quilting and was a member of the Laurens Happy Quilters and the Emerald City Quilters. Survivors include her daughters, Julianne (Larry) Mimbs, of East Dublin, and Angie (Vick) Thomas, of Dublin; grandchildren, Todd (Melanie) Boyer, of Savannah, Jason (Kathrine) Thomas, of Dublin; great grandchildren, Chase Boyer, of Savannah, Evan Thomas, of Dublin, Kaitlin Thomas, of Dublin; sister, Carolyn Adkins, of Cordele; step-grandchildren, Chris (Cathy) Mimbs, of East Dublin, Kim (Jeff) Moore, of Dublin Jeff (Donna) Mimbs, of Lagrange; several step-great grandchildren, nieces and nephews. Buddy Gay, Tim Shoe, Jerrell Bush, Chris Doles, Bucky Dixon, and Robert Harrison will serve as pallbearers. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Pine Forest United Methodist Church, 400 Woods Avenue, Dublin, GA 31021.
