Services for Elizabeth Chancellor Dean, age 86, of Ivey, will be held at 2:00 PM Thursday, January 29, 2015, in the chapel of Townsend Brothers Funeral Home. Burial will follow at Poplar Springs North Baptist Church Cemetery. Rev. Freddy Hogg will officiate. The family will receive friends beginning at 1:00 PM until the service hour at the funeral home. Mrs. Dean died Monday, January 26, 2015. Mrs. Dean worked at Snyders, retired from Arlene's Dress Shop, and was a member of Ivey Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her parents, William A. Chancellor, Sr. and Miona Murchison Chancellor; brothers, William A. Chancellor, Jr. and Ronald Chancellor; stepson, David Dean. Survivors include her husband of 39 years, J. B. Dean, of Ivey; daughters, Debbie (David) Skidmore, of Gray, Sharon Jones, Sheila Knight, both of Lizella, Pam Knight, of Waukegan, IL; stepsons, Phil (Sandy) Dean, of Milledgeville, Steve Dean, of Macon; grandchildren, Tiffany (Jeremy) Jones, of Gray, Jeremy (Mary-Katherine) Skidmore, of Rutledge; three great grandchildren, Ethan Jones, Hannah Jones, Jacob Skidmore; and several nieces and nephews.
