Services for Emmett Andrew Lake, age 96, of East Dublin, will be held at 11:00 AM, Monday, February 13, 2017, at Gethsemane United Methodist Church. Burial will follow at Northview Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 5:00 PM until 7:00 PM Sunday at Townsend Brothers Funeral Home. Mr. Lake died Friday, February 10, 2017.

Mr. Lake retired from Fortsman and then worked at Allen Bradley following retirement. He was a member of Gethsemane United Methodist Church for over seventy-five years, where he served as choir director and Sunday School superintendent for forty-five years. He was a great cook and a wonderful loving father, a very patient person, with a strong faith in the Lord.

Mr. Lake was preceded in death by his wife, Nina Shannon Lake; infant son, Phillip Lake; son, Stephen Lake; daughter, Teresa Lake; parents, W. L. and Annie Pearl Johnson Lake; brothers, Earl Lake, Hershel Lake, and Charles Lake; sisters, Elizabeth Kight, and Catherine Thomas.

Survivors include his children, Becky (Jimmy) Crosby, and Cindy (Ken) Williams; grandchildren, Phillip Crosby, Lori (Jeffery) Ricks, Brad (Maranda) Smith, Keith (Jamie) Williams, April (John) Pitts, and Jared (Allyson) Brown; great grandchildren, Austin Crosby, Phillip Crosby, Brooke Rogers, Ally Wilson, Cole Smith, Ayden Smith, Logan Wynne, Kenslee Pitts, John Pitts IV, and Lilly Brown; siblings, W. L. Lake, Jr., Thomas Elp Lake, Marshall Lake, Martha Buchanan, and Pamelia Adams.
