Emmie Zell Braswell Gay age 78, passed away Sunday, November 19, 2017. Services will be held at 2:00 P.M. Wednesday, November 22, at Townsend  Brothers Funeral Home in Dublin. Burial will follow at the Rentz City Cemetery.

Mrs. Gay was a native of Laurens County but had made her home in Milledgeville since 1958. She was a retired employee of Rheem. She was preceded in death by her parents Thomas Marvin and Ruby Alligood Braswell, a daughter Pamela Gundersen, a brother Gary Braswell and sister Peggy Hamilton.

Survivors include her son Greg Gay (Tisha) of Eatonton, her daughter Deborah Smith (Alan) of Milledgeville, brothers Fred Braswell and Sammy Braswell both of Laurens County, five grandchildren Kiva Hood, Zachery Smith, Daquri Thomas, Nikki Simpson and David Gay, seven great-grandchildren and a number of nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends Wednesday from 1:00 until 2:00 P.M. at Townsend Brothers Funeral Home.

In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the Baldwin County Relay for Life.
