Funeral services for Emory Lee Yarbrough, age 87 of Dublin, will be held at 2:00 PM Wednesday, December 15, 2010 in the Chapel of Townsend Brothers Funeral Home with burial to follow in Dublin Memorial Gardens. Rev. Paul Wilkes will officiate. Mr. Yarbrough was a member of Springdale Baptist Church and the Heart of GA Ambassadors Macon Chapter. He was a Past Master of Laurens Lodge #75 and Past Worthy Patron of O.E.S. #175. He also served our country in the US Navy. He was preceded in death by his parents, J.B. Yarbrough and Precious Dennis Yarbrough, son, Gary R. Yarbrough and two sisters, Ruth Weaver and Maxine Gore. Mr. Yarbrough passed away on Saturday, December 11, 2010 at Serenity Place. He is survived by his wife, Virginia Cliatt Yarbrough; two sons, Dennis C. (Sandra) Yarbrough and Brian L. Yarbrough; four grandsons, Daniel L. Yarbrough, Eric Yarbrough, Denny Yarbrough and Edward F. Van Wingen; granddaughter, Dawn Yarbrough; daughter-in-law, Linda Yarbrough; friend, Harriet Wells and numerous nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends on Tuesday from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at Townsend Brothers Funeral Home.
