Services for Esther Sandra Tanner, age 55, of East Dublin will be held at 2:00 PM Wednesday, January 8, 2014 in the chapel of Townsend Brothers Funeral Home. Burial will follow at Dublin Memorial Gardens. Rev. Matt Anderson will officiate. Mrs. Tanner died Sunday, January 5, 2014 after an extended illness. Mrs. Tanner was the daughter of the late Donald B. Dollar, Sr. and Juanita Summerlin Dollar. She worked at Bil Jo for a number of years. Mrs. Tanner was a homemaker and a member of Eastside Baptist Church. She was a loving and caring wife and mother. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother, Donald Dollar, Jr. Survivors include her husband, Wayne "Ernie" Tanner, and son, Darrell (Cindy) Thigpen, all of East Dublin; brother, Lester Dollar, of Dublin; sisters, Donnita (Robert) Alexander, of Dublin, Connie (Joseph) Johnson, of Augusta, Elizabeth Hedrick (Roy Daley)), of Montrose, Patricia (Benny) Gildon, of East Dublin, Edna Foskey, of Stuart, FL; granddaughters, Kiley Mason, and Hannah Bracewell, both of East Dublin. Eddie Thigpen, Darrell Thigpen, B. J. Dollar, Jason Dollar, Brannon Jones, and Mark Dixon will serve as pallbearers. The family will receive friends from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM Tuesday at the Townsend Brothers Funeral Home.
