Ettie Thomas Chambless, age 103, of Rentz, passed away Monday, January 9, 2017.

Services will be held at 2:00PM on Wednesday, January 11, 2017 at Rentz Baptist Church. Burial will follow in Rentz Cemetery. Rev. Tom Vann and Rev. Grady Mimbs will officiate. The family will receive friends at 1:00PM in the church social hall.

Mrs. Chambless was a resident of Rentz for much of her life until moving to Madison recently. She was a homemaker and oldest member of Rentz Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her parents, J. Walter Thomas and Louisa A. Brett Thomas; husband, Cecil Ray Chambless; daughter, Ann Colter, and siblings, Margaret Woodard, Ralph Thomas, Hubert & Herbert Thomas, Mable Thomas, and Bessie Thomas.

Survivors include her daughters, Betty Register (Burts), of Rentz and Cecille Brown (Paul), of Madison; grandchildren, Donna Dent, Garry Register (Pat), Traci Smith (Andy), Andy Colter (Betty), Cathy Cunard (Chris), Jack Colter (Lillie), Kristin Fuhr (Bob), Jason Brown (Ashley), and Adam Brown (Ryan); 20 great-grandchildren; 8 great-great-grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews.
