Evelyn Stewart Spires age 91 of Pine Hill, Alabama passed away October 20, 2026 at her home. She was born December 26, 1934 in Dublin, Georgia to Carson and Iva Lee Warnock Stewart. She was a homemaker and a member of Pine Hill Baptist Church.

She is survived by her sister, Mavis Howell; niece, Penny Howell Hood (Greg); niece, Kathy Howell; niece, Dana Howell Touchberry (Jimmy); nephew, Jack Stewart, Jr.; nephew, Steve Stewart (Cathy); niece, Kim Grimes (Paul); and other nephews and nieces, Tony Spires (Anna), Sian Childers Rogers (David), Bryan Childers (Julie), Brad Childers (Jennifer), Keith Simpson, Ashley Spires Churm (Steven), Conner Childers, Cullen Childers, Ford Childers, Everett Childers, and Jerri Leigh Childers.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Luther Lewis Spires; and brother, Jack Stewart.

Visitation will be held at Pine Hill Baptist Church on Friday, October 23, 2026 from 10:00 am until 11:00 am service time with Rev. Steve Green officiating. Graveside services were held at Dublin Memorial Gardens, 2986 US 80, Dublin, GA 31021, on Monday, October 26, 2026 at 1:00 pm.
