Services for Everette "Cooter" Watson, age 78, of Montrose, will be held at 3:00 PM Thursday, October, 13, 2011 in the Chapel of Townsend Brothers Funeral Home. Elder Garry Hall and Elder Franklin Bryant will officiate. Burial will follow in Dublin Memorial Gardens. Mr. Watson died Tuesday. Mr. Watson was a lifelong resident of Laurens County. He was the son of the late Walt Watson and the late Myrt Savage Watson. Everette was a farmer most of his life and was a rural mail carrier for 20 years. He was of the Primitive Baptist Faith. He is survived by his wife, Betty Howard Watson of Montrose, children, Randall Bryant Watson of Montrose, Karen Watson Albright (Rob) of St. Augustine, FL, grandchildren, Corey Bryant Lee of Kathleen, Laura Paige Kitchens of St. Augustine, FL, Reily Claire Norton of St. Augustine, FL and a sister, Janice (Woody) Payne of Dublin, many nieces and nephews. The family may be contacted at the Payne Meeting House, and will receive friends Wednesday, from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM at Townsend Brothers Funeral Home.
