Services for Fannie Mae Smallwood Bryan, age 72, of Dexter, will be held on Sunday, July 3, 2011 at 2:00 p.m. at Mt. Carmel Baptist Church. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Reverend Jerry Martin, Rev. Bernard Henry and Rev. Keith Hall will officiate. Mrs. Bryan was a member of Mt. Carmel Baptist Church where she served as a Sunday School Teacher and church clerk for several years. She was a loving wife, mother and grandmother. Mrs. Bryan was preceded in death by her parents, Early Smallwood and Mavie Fountain Smallwood and her husband, Howard J. Bryan. Mrs. Bryan passed away on Thursday, June 30, 2011. She is survived by two sons, Chris (Mittie) Bryan and Kevin (Tressie) Bryan both of Dexter; two sisters, Jeanelle Garnto of Hawkinsville and Mary Lou Reynolds of Cary; 6 grandchildren, 2 aunts and several nieces, nephews and cousins. The family will receive friends on Saturday from 4:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m. at Townsend Brothers Funeral Home.
