Fay Mullis Fountain, age 83, of Dublin, passed away on Thursday, August 18, 2016.

Services will be held at 3:00PM on Sunday, August 21, 2016 in the Chapel of Townsend Brothers Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Rentz Cemetery. Rev. Darren Talley and Rev. Grady Mimbs will officiate. The family will receive friends from 2:00PM until funeral hour on Sunday at Townsend Brothers Funeral Home.

Mrs. Fountain was a member of Jefferson Street Baptist Church, and former member of Rentz Baptist Church. She was a substitute teacher for Laurens County School system for many years. She was preceded in death by her parents, Walter and Lois McDaniel Mullis; husband, Walter Weatherly; daughter, Deborah Conner and two brothers, Wayne Mullis and Travis Mullis.

She is survived by her husband, Gerald Fountain, of Dublin; son, Bruce Weatherly, of Bay Point, CA; daughter, Dana Wicker (Robert), of Cadwell; brother, Larry Mullis, of Milledgeville; sisters, Miriam Williams and Yvonne Mullis, both of Dublin; grandchildren, Mart Conner, Mandy Davenport, Rachel Wicker and Leah Wicker and several nieces and nephews.
