Services for Faye R. Strickland, age 70, of Dublin will be held at 11:00AM on Monday, January 21, 2013 at Poplar Springs North Baptist Church. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Rev. James Hughes will officiate. Mrs. Strickland was retired from Morris Bank after 48 years. She was currently employed with Citizens Bank and Atlantic South Bank. She was a graduate of Dublin of High School and a faithful and long time member of Poplar Springs North Baptist Church. Faye was preceded in death by her parents, Earl and Minnie Parker Roach and her husband, Russell Strickland. She passed away on Friday, January 18, 2013 at Serenity Place. Survivors include her son and daughter-in-law, Benjamin and Renee Strickland of Dublin; three granddaughters, Taylor Strickland, Logan Strickland and Payten Strickland, all of Dublin; sister, Esther (Jim) Davis of Anderson, SC; brother, Earl (Kathy) Roach of Zebulon, NC; sisters-in law, Mabon Strickland, Martha Tanner, Nannette Kimbell, Joanne (Tim) Luecke and Becky White, all of Dublin; brothers-in-law, Moye (Linda) Strickland and Robert (Carolyn) Strickland, both of Dublin and many nieces and nephews. Pallbearers will be Andy Kimbell, Chad Payne, Ronald Freeland, Ryan Strickland, Clayton Davis and Parker Roach. Honorary escorts will be the active deacons of Poplar Springs North Baptist Church. The family will receive friends from 4:00PM until 6:00PM on Sunday evening at Townsend Brothers Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Poplar Springs North Baptist Church or Serenity Hospice Foundation.
