Services for Ferrell Morton, age 68, of Glenwood, will be held on Tuesday, August 28, 2012, at 11:00 AM in the Chapel of Townsend Brothers Funeral Home. Burial will follow in the Bracewell Cemetery. Rev. Nolon McDaniel will officiate. Mr. Morton died Sunday. August, 26, 2012. Mr. Morton was a loving husband and father. He was the owner of Dublin Hunting and Fishing for thirty years. In his retirement, Mr. Morton operated Morton Farms and raised Angus cows. He was an avid fisherman. Mr. Morton was preceded in death by his parents, H. G. Morton and Marjorie Joiner Morton. Survivors include his wife, Vonelle Young Morton, of Glenwood; sons, Steve (Lynn) Morton, of Glenwood, and Mitchell (Shelia) Childers, of Dublin; grandchildren, Cherie (Brad) Rowland, of Chester, Seth Morton, of Glenwood, Shanna Childers, and Jennifer Childers, both of Dublin; step-sons, Ricky (Susan) Childers, of Lawrenceville, Jeffery (Christy) Childers, of Jasper; brothers, Waylon (Sydney) Morton, of East Dublin, and Clinton (Donna) Morton, of Glenwood; six step-grandchildren; three great grandchildren; and a number of nieces and nephews. Duke Beacham, Keith Brooks, Chad Morton, Adam Lausch, Terry Garnto, and Chris Young will serve as pallbearers. The family will receive friends on Monday from 6:00PM until 8:00PM at Townsend Brothers Funeral Home.
