Graveside services for Floyd Lee Edney, age 91 of Dublin, will be held at 2:00 PM on Tuesday, August 21, 2012 at Dublin Memorial Gardens. Rev. Jeff Audirsch will officiate. He passed away on Sunday, August 19, 2012. Mr. Edney was the son of the late Edmond Grayson Edney and the late Della Allison Edney. He lived in Laurens County since 1972 and was retired from Bassett Furniture Company and was a member of Jefferson Street Baptist Church. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife of 63 years, Frances Condrey Edney; son, Eddie Edney and brothers, Lawrence E. and Archie Edney. Survivors include his sons and daughters-in-law, Ken (Robin) Edney of Byron, Rick (Linda) Edney of Moyock, NC and Randy (Gayle) Edney of Rentz; numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren; brother, Grayson (Hilda) Edney and several nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends at Townsend Brothers Funeral Home on Monday evening from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM.
