Services for Fonnie J. Hall, age 85 of Dublin, will be held at 11:00AM on Saturday, August 9, 2014 at Pine Forest United Methodist Church. Dr. Joel Dent, Rev. Wes Moye and Rev. Brian Allen will officiate. Burial will be held at 3:00PM in Burkett Baptist Church Cemetery in Douglas, GA. Mrs. Hall was a charter member of Pine Forest United Methodist Church. She worked as a kindergarten teacher and later as an associate with K-Mart. She enjoyed touching the lives of people in the community by volunteering with Meals on Wheels and as a Pink Lady at Fairview Park Hospital. She also enjoyed working election polls. Mrs. Hall was a member of the Dublin High School Band Boosters and served as a previous Jaycees pool manager. She was preceded in death by her parents, Albert Johnson and Lottie Fletcher and husband, Andrew E. Hall, Sr. Mrs. Hall passed away on Thursday, August 07, 2014. Survivors include her children; Gene Wood (John) of Oglethorpe, Andy Hall, Jr. (Teresa) of Dublin, Vickie Gasque (Clarence) of Douglas, Donna Wilder (Donald) of McDonough and Jon Hall (Susan) of Dublin; sister, Bonnie Hendricks of Pensacola, FL; niece, Tammy Merritt of Douglas; 15 grandchildren and 30 great-grandchildren. Pallbearers will be Dylan Hall, Jeremy Ikner, Drew Brack, Duke Brack, Chris Cammer and Josh Hall. Honorary pallbearers will be member of the Ben F. Williams Sunday School Class. The family will receive friends on Friday evening from 6:00PM until 8:00PM at Townsend Brothers Funeral Home.
