Frances
Dominy
Aug 2, 1940 — Sep 11, 2026
Betty Frances Dominy passed away on September 11, 2026, in Dublin, Georgia, at the age of 86.
Frances was born on August 2, 1940, in Dublin, Georgia, to the late Robert Mills Clements and Joe Belle Watson Clements. She was a lifelong resident of the Dublin area and carried with her throughout her life a deep love for her family, her community, and the place she called home.
Frances was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Willie Eugene "Gene" Dominy, Jr., her son, Donald Eugene Dominy, her great-grandson, Jude Glenn, and her brothers, James Clements, John Clements, Wendell Clements, and Willie Clements. Frances worked faithfully throughout her life and was employed at J.P. Stevens, JCPenney, and Belk's before taking on the role of director of the Laurens County Senior Citizens Center.
Those who knew Frances will remember her as the kindest, strongest, and most determined woman. One person once said of her, "Your mom is one Tough Lady. She never gave up." That statement reflected the truth of who she was. She was a wonderful friend, sister, aunt, devoted wife and loving mother. She was a gentle and caring grandmother and great grandmother. She loved them with her whole heart. Her presence brought comfort, strength, and warmth to those blessed to know her.
Frances was a homemaker who created a loving home and a welcoming spirit for her family. She was a devoted Christian and a member of Bethsaida Baptist Church, where her faith guided her life and strengthened her through every joy and challenge. She was also a member of the Eastern Star, reflecting her commitment to service, fellowship, and a life lived with purpose and grace.
She is survived by her sons and their wives, Darrell and Patti Dominy and Allen and Linda Dominy, her daughter and her husband, Susan and Tod Glenn, seven grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren, her sister, Sara Allen, and her brother, Cullen Clements and Kathy. She also leaves behind many dear family members and friends who will cherish her memory always. The family is especially grateful for the wonderful and loving caregivers, Tashia Browning and Anita Blue, and they would have never made it without them.
Graveside funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM, Friday, September, 18, 2026 at Bethsaida Baptist Church with Rev. Cullen Clements officiating.
The family will receive friends from 10:00 AM until 11:00 AM Friday at the cemetery.
