Services for Frances Nix, age 90, of Dublin, will be held at 2:00 PM Saturday, September 7, 2019, in the chapel of Townsend Brothers Funeral Home.  Burial will follow at Dublin Memorial Gardens.  Rev. Donnie Baker will officiate.  The family will receive friends from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM Friday at the funeral home.  Mrs. Nix died Wednesday, September 4, 2019.

Mrs. Nix was born on April 17, 1929, in Washington County. She was of the Methodist faith and an avid Atlanta Braves fan.  Mrs. Nix was a loving mother and grandmother, and a homemaker who was the rock of her family.

Mrs. Nix was preceded in death by her husband, James A. Nix, and parents, Will and Minnie Lou Tompkins.

Survivors include her children, Dwain (Mahala) Nix, Randy Nix, all of Dublin, Jan Fields, of Milledgeville; grandchildren, Jason (Michelle) Nix, Mandy Criswell, Dusty (Karlee) Nix, Blake (Jessica) Nix, Kyle Skinner, Grace Fields, Caleb Fields; sixteen great grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.

Jason Nix, Dusty Nix, Blake Nix, Kyle Skinner, Caleb Fields, James Lewis, Ronald Lewis, and Van Savage will serve as pallbearers.

Honorary pallbearers will be Anna Mullis, Jeff Cannon, T. J. Shuler, and Dan Coxwell .

The family will be at the home of Dwain and Mahala Nix.
