Frances Brown Vaughn, age 91, of Laurens County died on May 16, 2014. Mrs. Vaughn was a member of the Dublin High School graduating class of 1941. She was a homemaker and a partner in the family farm that she and her husband operated for over seventy years in the New Bethel/Pine Hill community. Survivors include: sons, Earl (Becky) Vaughn of Dublin and Danny (Judy) Vaughn of Dublin, grandsons, Gordon Moore (Megan) of Dublin and Matt (Julie) Vaughn of Savannah, great-granddaughter, Elizabeth Vaughn of Savannah and great-grandson John Gordon Moore IV of Dublin, brothers, John F. Brown of Augusta and Edward E. Brown of Gainesville. She was predeceased by her husband; John P. Vaughn, daughter, Ellen Vaughn Moore, granddaughter, Holli L. Vaughn; mother, Estoria Hobbs Brown; father, John F. Brown; brother, E. W. Brown; and sister, Rosalyn Brown Garnto. Visitation will be Sunday evening, May 18, from 6:00 to 8:00 P.M. at Townsend Brothers Funeral Home in Dublin. Graveside services will follow in Northview Cemetery at 11:00 A.M. on Monday with Reverend Grady Mimbs officiating. Pallbearers will be: Scott Beasley, Alvin Brown, Ernest Davis, Dwight Leroy, Danny Moore and Ralph Mullis. Funeral arrangements are under the direction of Townsend Brothers Funeral Home of Dublin.
