Services for Gay Hatcher, age 79, will be held on Monday, August 22, 2011 at 11:00 AM at Townsend Brothers Funeral Home. The family will receive friends at 10:00 AM, one hour prior to the service. Burial will follow at Northview Cemetery. Gay Hatcher was a long-time resident of Dublin, Georgia and was involved in full-time ministry at Women's Prison for 39 years. She was an active founding member of Dublin Christian Fellowship Church serving the members of her church regularly. She was also an ordained minister receiving many accolades as well as "Gay Hatcher Day" held at the Pulaski Women's Prison. She is preceded in death by her husband, Al Hatcher, a native of Dublin, Georgia. Mrs. Hatcher passed away on Saturday, August 20th, 2011. She is survived by her four children, Sherri Hatcher George (husband) Rocky, Jim Hatcher (wife) Gail, Holly Hatcher Stincer (husband) E. J., Melody Hatcher Gold (husband) Michael. She has 13 grandchildren and several great grandchildren. Pallbearers will be her grandsons.
