Genelle Evans, age 75, of Rockledge, passed away on Monday, June 20, 2016.

Services will be held at 2:00PM on Wednesday, June 22, 2016 at Minter Baptist Church with burial to follow in Minter Cemetery. Rev. Len Woodard and Rev. Johnny Baggett will officiate. The family will receive friends on Tuesday evening from 6:00PM until 8:00PM at Townsend Brothers Funeral Home.

Mrs. Evans was a member of Minter Baptist Church, and retired from Bil-Jo as a supervisor. She was a member of the Women of the Moose, College of Regents, for 31 years. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister and friend.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Luther and Quillie Dixon Woodard and numerous siblings.

Survivors include her husband of 55 years, C. Wayne Evans, of Rockledge; daughters, DeLaina Melton (Gregory), of Dublin and Trish L. Smith (Jeff), of Rockledge; grandchildren, Jessica Stephens (John Warren), of Chester, Evan Melton (Sydney), of Guyton and Kristen Smith (Anthony Spivey), of Rockledge, Amy Raiford, of Soperton, and Ashley Burch, of Cedar Grove; great-grandchildren, Gracie Lee Melton, of Guyton and Tinsley Spivey and Jayden Spivey, both of Rockledge, and Kinlee Raiford, of Soperton; longtime friend, Mary McDaniel, of Rentz; her loving companion and protector, Missy Lee; sisters, Clara Evans, of Rentz and Jeanette Self, of Warm Springs; brother, Alfred Woodard, of Macon and numerous loving nieces and nephews.
