Georgia Anna Campbell Murphy, age 88, of Dublin, passed away on Thursday, August 4, 2016.

Services will be held at 2:00PM on Sunday, August 7, 2016 at Poplar Springs South Baptist Church. Burial will follow in the McDaniel Family Cemetery. Rev. Lewis Miller and Rev. Alan Heath will officiate. The family will be receiving friends at her home on Saturday evening.

Pallbearers will be Jacob Spires, Jonathan Hall, Keith Shealy, James Wynn, Jim Murphy, and Chuck Spires.

Mrs. Murphy was a member of Poplar Springs South Baptist Church. She devoted her life to being a dutiful military wife and mother. She was a friend to all she met and would help anyone in need. She loved the outdoors, especially her beautiful Georgia pines, and was conscious of protecting the environment. She loved and cared for all living things. She was preceded in death by her parents, Robert Francis Campbell and Bertha Wynn Campbell.

She is survived by her children; Deborah Hodge (Paul) of Athens, Jim Murphy of Mid West City, OK, and Kari Murphy Walke (Hank Barbee) of Dublin; grandchildren, Chris Smith and Harry Hamilton, Matt Murphy, Lindsay Murphy Hopkins (Chase), James Murphy, Rebecca Murphy, Robin Danielle Stamps (Joseph), Campbell Wallace Walke, and 4 great-grandchildren.
