Gladys Leopold Bowen, age 86, of Dublin, passed away on Tuesday, December 27, 2016. Graveside services will be held at 11:00AM on Thursday, December 29, 2016 in Dublin Memorial Gardens. Rev. Grady Mimbs and Rev. Randy Mimbs will officiate. The family will receive friends on Wednesday evening from 6:00PM until 8:00PM at Townsend Brothers Funeral Home. Pallbearers will be Jerry Childers, William Coleman, Barron Hobbs, Mike Faulk, Bart Hobbs, and Derry Fordham. Mrs. Bowen was born in Laurens County to the late Henry and Sarah Berry Leopold. She graduated from Dudley High School and attended Middle Georgia College. She was a member of Montrose Baptist Church and the Senior Adult Sunday School Class. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Clyde Bowen. Survivors include her daughter and son-in-law, Sian Bowen Rogers (Harrell David), of Dublin; grandsons, Bryan N. Childers (Julie), of Dublin and Brad N. Childers (Jennifer), of Montrose; five great-grandchildren, Conner Childers, Cullen Childers, Ford Childers, Everett Childers, and Jeri Leigh Childers; nieces, Lane Fordham Coleman (William), and Kathy Barron Faulk (Mike); nephew, Derry Fordham (Janice); great-nephews, Jason W. Coleman, Barron Hobbs and Bart Hobbs, and great-niece, Laura Faulk; and Luther and Evelyn Spires, of Pine Hill, AL.
