Graveside services for Gladys Christine Harrison, age 76 of Irwinton, GA will be held at 11:00 AM Tuesday, May 24, 2011 at Dublin Memorial Gardens. Rev. Ed Ellington and Rev. Janice Laster will officiate. Mrs. Harrison was born in Laurens County. She was the daughter of the late Marshall Tarpley and Martha Jane Sheffield Allen. She was a member of Poplar Springs North Baptist Church and was retired from Shamrock of Dublin. Mrs. Harrison was preceded in death by her husband, Arthur Lee Harrison, daughter Cathy Jane Allen, brother Jack Tarpley, and half brother Buddy Little. Survivors include her children, Shirley (Mike) Franks of Dublin, Ricky (Gail) Harrison of Dudley, Nancy (Mike) Moore of Dublin, Art (Debra) Harrison of Dublin, Judy (Argene) Holt of Chester, 19 grandchildren, numerous great grandchildren and a half sister, Ruby Lee Fordham of Dublin. Grandsons will serve as pallbearers. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Serenity Hospice Foundation, 520 Hillcrest Parkway, Dublin, GA, 31021 or to Gideons International, P. O. Box 27, Dublin, GA 31040. The family will be at the home of Ricky and Gail Harrison, 1279 3rd Street, Dudley.
