Gladys Maddox, age 75, of East Dublin, passed away on Tuesday, November 17, 2015. Services will be held at 2:00PM on Friday, November 20, 2015 in the Chapel of Townsend Brothers Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Blue Springs Baptist Church Cemetery. Rev. Myron Wise and Rev. Kelly Maddox will officiate. The family will receive friends on Thursday evening from 6:00PM until 8:00PM at Townsend Brothers Funeral Home. Pallbearers will be Richard Brown, Josh Brown, Christopher Chad Brown, Christopher Lee Brown, Justin Brown, Paul Sterling and Stephen Brown. Mrs. Maddox was a member of Joiner Street Baptist Church. She was a devoted mother and grandmother. She was preceded in death by her husband, D.A. Maddox; father, Charlie Sterling; mother, Lois Dixon and brothers, Jack Sterling and C.L. Sterling. She is survived by her son, Jimmy Brown (Yvonne); grandsons, Richard Brown (Mary Beth) and Stephen Brown (Senne); great-granddaughters, Allie Beth and Madison; great-grandsons, Cole and Nolan; her son, Michael Brown (Laurie); grandsons, Christopher Brown (Jamie) and Josh Brown, great-grandson, John Luke; her son, Ronald Brown (Kay); grandsons, Christopher Brown (Kayla) and Justin Brown; great-granddaughter, Ellington and great-grandsons, Brayden and Bryson; sisters, Ruth Hanson, Doris Yearwood, June Miller, May Jones, Penny McKelvey and Jeanette Russell; brother, Tommy Sterling and a host of nieces and nephews.
