Services for Glenn Diers, age 48, of East Dublin, will be held at 2:00 PM on Saturday, November 23, 2013 in the Chapel of Townsend Brothers Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Dublin Memorial Gardens. Rev. Ronnie Powell will officiate. Mr. Diers was the son of the late Spencer Diers and the late Shirley McCoy Spivey. He was a member of East Dublin Baptist Church. He was employed by Hooks' Service Station and enjoyed hunting and fishing. Mr. Diers passed away on Thursday, November 21, 2013. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brothers, Jeff Barrs and Kevin Rogers; grandson, Gavin Black; and grandparents, T.W. McCoy, Sr. and Essie McCoy. Survivors include his wife, Dianne Diers; sons, Christopher Diers, Christopher (Taylor) Black, and Corey (Dakota) Black; sister, Regina (Buddy) Horne; and six grandchildren, Emma Black, Kiley Black, Mackenzie Black, Kiera Young, Gage Black and Kayden Black, all of East Dublin. Richie Mullis, Tyler Mullis, Zack Mullis, Corey Black, Larry Horne, Buddy Horne, and Matthew Horne will serve as pallbearers. The family will receive friends at Townsend Brothers Funeral Home on Saturday from 1:00 PM until 2:00 PM.
