Services for Glenn H. Dimmen, age 84 of Dublin, will be held at 11:00 AM Saturday, August 24, 2013 in the Chapel of Townsend Brothers Funeral Home. Burial will follow at Graham Memorial Church Cemetery. Rev. Jim Sowden and Rev. Michael Brooks will officiate. Mr. Dimmen died Thursday, August 22, 2013. Mr. Dimmen was the son of the late Louis Dimmen and the late Ilene Hegstrom Dimmen. He retired from the United States Air Force and Forstmann. Mr. Dimmen was a member of Northside Baptist Church. He was a loving father, grandfather, and great grandfather. In addition to his parents, Mr. Dimmen was preceded in death by his first wife, Eldora Johnson Dimmen, and second wife of thirty-six years, Ruby Eloise Dimmen; daughter, Glennette Denise Dimmen; and step-son, Leo Bennette Kight. Survivors include his sons, Bryce (Van) Dimmen, of Albany, Rowe (Lisa) Dimmen, of Dublin, Wayne (Debbie) Dimmen, of Danville; step-children, Tommy (Margaret) Kight, of Vidalia, Bonnie (Randell) Petrie of Dublin; ten grandchildren; twenty-three great grandchildren; and sister, Mable Anderson, of Minneapolis, MN. Matt Dimmen, Troy Dimmen, Ryan Brooks, Dillon Graham, Patrick Moore, and Kyle Milton will serve as pallbearers. The family will receive friends on Friday from 6:00PM until 8:00 PM at the funeral home.
