Services for Glenn Hatcher, age 67, of Dexter will be held at 3:00PM on Tuesday, July 15, 2014 in the Chapel of Townsend Brothers Funeral Home. Burial will be held privately. Rev. Rodney McCant will officiate. The family will receive friends from 1:30PM until funeral hour at Townsend Brothers Funeral Home.
Mr. Hatcher was of the Baptist faith and served in the United States Army. Glenn loved to make people laugh and was always the life of any crowd. He loved his family deeply and will be missed by all those blessed to have loved him. Mr. Hatcher was preceded in death by his father, Richard Hatcher; mother, Nora Lee Witherington; daughter, Sandy Hatcher Chance; step-father, George Witherington; brothers, LaFate Hatcher, J.R. Hatcher and J.W. Hatcher; nephew, Mark Roberson and beloved dog, Scarlotte. Glenn passed away on Saturday, July 12, 2014 at Serenity Place.
Survivors are his son, Steven Glenn Hatcher (Debra) of Rentz; daughter, Candy Smith of MI; stepsons, Eli Collins and Isaac Collins, both of Dexter; step-daughter, Leslie Pittman; brothers, Phil Hatcher of Virginia and Roger Hatcher (Charlotte) of East Dublin; sister, Sharon Hatcher Dalton (Rocky) of Dublin; 17 grandchildren; 4 great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews and thankful loving friend, Shirley Jean Warren Pittman of Dexter.
Pallbearers will be Ray Wright, Danny Parish, Ricky Maddox, Eli Collins, Michael Hatcher, Alex Pittman and Shawn Roberson.
