Glenn A. "Tater" Jones, age 51 of Rentz, passed away on Monday, January 26, 2015. Services will be held at 11:00AM on Wednesday, January 28, 2015 at Baker Baptist Church. Burial will follow in Snow Hill Baptist Church Cemetery. Rev. Joey Diers will officiate. The family will receive friends on Tuesday evening from 6:00PM until 8:00PM at Townsend Brothers Funeral Home. Mr. Jones was a member of Baker Baptist Church. He worked with Evans Cabinet Company. He was the son of the late Lamar Jones and the late Verna Lee Williams Jones. Survivors include his wife, Gail Jones of Rentz; son, Eric (Shane) Lord of Canton; daughter, Terri (Shane) Richardson of Dublin; brothers, Vernon Jones of Jeffersonville and Ray "Deacon" (Pat) Jones ; sisters, Linda Faye (Don) Gaddis of Dublin and Anita Jones of Byron; grandchildren, Zoe Lord, Mia Lord, Marisa Lord, Lexie Hutchinson, Caiden Richardson and Brody Richardson and several nieces and nephews. Pallbearers will be Russell Lane, Andy Sellers, John Knight, Greg Mullis, Sammy Coley and Randy Shepherd. Honorary pallbearers will be Rodney Cammack, Rodney Manley, Tal Fountain, Buddy Rogers, Danny Smith and Delmar Gay.
