Services for Gloria Wigins Hilliard, age 85 of Dublin, will be held on Friday, April 25, 2014 at 4:00PM graveside in Dublin Memorial Gardens. Dr. Joel Dent and Rev. Steve Patton will officiate. She passed away on Wednesday, April 23, 2014. Mrs. Hilliard was born in Laurens County to the late Kibbie C. and Eula Posey Wigins. She was a homemaker and charter member of Pine Forest United Methodist Church. She was a loving mother, grandmother and aunt. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Hilton G. Hilliard; sister, Virginia W. Duncan and brother, Herman E. Lord. Survivors include her daughters, Susan H. Mullis of Dublin and Ann H. Ussery (Darrell) of Holly Hill, FL; grandchildren, Hillary L. Mullis and Jessica A. Holt (Adam), both of Dexter, Dustin Mullis of Atlanta, Ashley Kidd and Nicholas Ussery both of Holly Hill, FL; nine great-grandchildren and niece, Lynn Beasley (Scott) of Dublin. The family will receive friends on Thursday evening from 6:00PM until 8:00PM at Townsend Brothers Funeral Home and may also be contacted at her residence.
