Glynis (Brown) Wampler, 54, passed away on April 11, 2017, after a brief illness. Glynis was born on February 16, 1963 to Nellierene (Wilkinson) and the late Doyle Freeman Brown. Glynis is a graduate of Dublin High School and received her Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing from Georgia College. She worked as a Registered Nurse at Crawford Long Hospital in Atlanta, GA and later had a long career at Blue Cross Blue Shield of Georgia. Glynis was of Baptist Faith and joined Dudley Baptist Church as a child.

Glynis was a devoted pet lover and was mother to many "fur babies" throughout her life. She loved to read, was a huge Andy Griffith fan, and was an avid collector of Gone with the Wind keepsakes. She was also known for her awesome red velvet cake.

Glynis is survived by her husband of 20 years Bryan Wampler of Dudley, GA; mother Nellierene Brown of Dudley, GA, sisters: Guynelle (Donna) Brown of Las Vegas, NV; and Kim Brown of Dunwoody, GA; as well as several aunts, uncles, cousins, and one niece and nephew. She is preceded in death by her father Doyle Brown and her grandparents.

The family will receive friends on Saturday, April 15th from 1:30pm to 2:30pm at Townsend Brothers Funeral Home, 215 West Jackson Street, Dublin, GA 31021. A memorial service will be held immediately after the visitation on Saturday, April 15th at 2:30pm in the Chapel of Townsend Brothers Funeral Home. Pastor Billy Daws of Dudley Baptist Church will officiate the service. A private burial service will be held at a later date.
