Gordon Earl Blackstock, Sr., age 91, passed away Tuesday, June 20, 2023.

Mr. Blackstock was born March 4, 1932 in Sumner, Georgia to the late Henry Blackstock and the late Bell Eldridge Blackstock. He was a United States Navy veteran. He retired from the City of Dublin where he worked as the gas superintendent. He was a member of Well Springs Baptist Church and former member of Springdale Baptist Church.

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his wife of 59 years, Joyce Blackstock; son, Gordon Earl Blackstock, Jr.; and granddaughter, Harmony Hawley.

He is survived by his wife, Lynn Blackstock of Dublin; daughter, Deborah Blackstock of Dublin; daughter and son-in-law, James and Cheryl Kendall of Lilburn; daughter, Cari Blackstock of Houston, Texas; brother, Harley K. Blackstock of Green Cove Springs, Florida; sister, Ann Vought of Blairsville; sister, Pat Price of Raleigh, North Caroline; four grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; one great-great grandchild; and several nephews and nieces.

A graveside service will be held Sunday, June 25, 2023 at Northview Cemetery at 2:00 pm. Rev. Robert Rogers will officiate. The family will receive friends Sunday, June 25, 2023 from 12:30 pm to 1:30 pm at Townsend Brothers Funeral Home.
