A memorial service for Gordon A. Brooke, age 64 of East Dublin will be held Tuesday, January 7, 2014 at 11:00 AM in the chapel of Townsend Brothers Funeral Home. Visitation will be from 10 AM until 11 AM. Rev. Dewayne Bedingfield and Rev. Matt Haywood will officiate. He died Saturday, January 4, 2014. Mr. Brooke was born in Gardiner, Maine. He was the son of the late Horace Brooke and the late Elita Brooke and also preceded in death by a brother, Kenneth Brooke and daughter Tammy Brooke Morgan. He was retired from Trinity Christian School. Survivors include his wife, Christie Cherry Brooke of East Dublin, children, Dena Doyon of Augusta, ME, Alan (Elizabeth) Brooke of Winthrop, ME, Joseph "Robbie" (Dawn) Brooke of Winthrop, ME Terri Brooke of Savannah, GA, sisters, Phyllis Lamarre of Gardiner, ME, Alice (Bob) Hopkins of Nokomis, FL, Linda (Frank) Simpson of Sarasota, FL, grandchildren, Keaton Gardiner, Joshua, Nathan, and Brandon Morgan, Kelsey and Kaleb Brooke, Dakota and Jada Brooke all from Maine, mother and father in law, Joseph and Marcia Cherry of East Dublin, several nieces and nephews. There will be a memorial service at a later date in Maine for family and friends.
