Services for Grace Dixon Evans, age 87, of Rentz, will be held at 2:00 PM, Friday, August 28, 2015, at Pleasant Hill Baptist Church. Burial will follow at Dublin Memorial Gardens. Rev. Greg Lowery will officiate. The family will receive friends from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM Thursday at Townsend Brothers Funeral Home. Mrs. Evans died Wednesday, August 26, 2015. Mrs. Evans was a homemaker and member of Pleasant Hill Baptist Church, She enjoyed cooking and was a loving mother and grandmother. Mrs. Evans spent her last years at the James Place, where she was well cared for. Mrs. Evans was preceded in death by her husband, Harold Evans; parents, Monroe and Winnie Wynn Dixon; brothers, Elmer Dixon, Bud Dixon; sisters, Vita Pearl Killingsworth, Gladys Bond, Joy Mullis; and son-in-law, Hugh Lowery. Survivors include her children, Larry (Jane) Evans, of Rentz, Annelle Lowery, of Cadwell, Danny (Bonnie) Evans, of Rentz; grandchildren, David Evans, Richard (Amie) Evans, both of Rentz, Ann (Clayton) Willis of Dublin, Brad (Aimee) Lowery, of Montrose, Ron (Christina) Lowery, of Glenwood, Jay (Stacy) Lowery, of Cadwell, Amy (Billy) Fountain, Lynsey Evans, both of Rentz; nineteen great grandchildren; one great great grandchild; several nieces and nephews; sisters-in-law, Betty Evans, and Mona Evans. Brad Lowery, Ron Lowery, Jay Lowery, Richard Evans, Billy Fountain, and Don Raines, will serve as pallbearers.
