Harvel Bishop Ussery of Dublin, age 86, passed away on Tuesday, June 28, 2016. Funeral services will be held Saturday, July 2, at 12:00 p.m. at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints in Dublin with Bishop Rex Boland officiating. Burial will follow at Dublin Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends at the Church from 10:00 to 11.30 a.m.

Mr. Ussery was born in Hazlehurst, Coffee County, Georgia, to the late Morrie Rollings and Alma Ardelia Miller Ussery. He retired from J. P. Stevens & Co. after 45 years of dedicated service and operated Ussery's Air-Conditioning and Heating Service for several years. He was a faithful member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, being the first Branch President and later the first Bishop of the Dublin Ward. He was a loving husband, father and friend. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife of 56 years, Evelyn Odessa Tadlock Ussery, brother, Cleveland Elderidge Ussery, sisters, Dessie Pearl Ussery, Dorothy Alice Williams, half-sister, Loretha Watson and beloved son-in-law, J. Bracken Palmer.

He is survived by his wife, Barbara Joan Tankersly Fennell Ussery , three daughters, Veronica Jane Kitchens Warren (Willie) of Crossville, TN, Deanea Faye Livingston Palmer of Dublin, Donna Lee Ussery Woods (Tom) of Myrtle Beach, SC., brothers, Hubert Aaron Ussery, Oliver Rollins Ussery (Emily) and Leland Jenson Ussery (Betty) of Dublin, grandchildren, Celene Shahgheibi, Jodi Cooper, Beverly Blackburn, Carolyn Mathis, Jay Palmer, Polly P. Daniels, Misty Farrar, Addie Woods, step-children Vicky Fennell Hinton (Tony), Sherri Fennell Braswell (Gene), Gregory P. Fennell (Vonda), Emily Fennell, Nancy Fennell Warnock (Allen), Margie Fennell Warnock (Arnold), and several great-grandchildren, great-great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

Pallbearers will be Tom Woods, Jay Palmer, Tim Ussery, Steve Ussery, Alan Warnock, Greg Fennell, Christopher Sullivan, Ben Sullivan and Robert Dylan Russell.
