Memorial Services for Hazel B. Kipp, age 104, of Alamo, will be held at 2:00 PM Sunday, March 1, 2015 in the chapel of Townsend Brothers Funeral Home. Pastor Danny Duggar will officiate. Mrs. Kipp died Tuesday, February 24, 2015. Over the course of her lifetime, Hazel Kipp was affiliated with organizations such as The Garden Club, Birding association, and she raised dogs and goats for Show. She won many prestigious awards over the years. She was recognized in Tarpon Springs, FL, in the 70's for identifying a new breed of bird, "The Florida Fancy Zebra Finch." At the age of 90, she was awarded for having the most beautiful yard in Wheeler County by the Glenwood Garden Club. Mrs. Kipp was preceded in death by her parents, William Elery Bryan and Julia Shepherd Bryan. Survivors include her children, Susan (Richard) Sohn, of Alamo, William B. (Marie) Kipp, of Parish, FL; grandchildren, David (Mendy) Sohn, of Dublin, Danny (Nancy) Sohn, of Dublin, Cynthia (Rob) Nenno, of New Port Richey, FL, Eric Sohn, of Alamo, Robert Kipp and Donna Walden, both of Parish, FL; eight great grandchildren; and two nieces.
