Helen Nelms Windham, age 88, of Glenwood, passed away on Tuesday, January 26, 2016.

Services will be held at 11:30AM on Thursday, January 28, 2016 at White Springs Baptist Church. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Rev. Randall Gibbs will officiate. The family will receive friends on Thursday from 10:00AM until 11:00AM in the church social hall.

Pallbearers will be Jeremy Hart, Tim Amerson, Troy Windham, Corey Browning, Cody Hart, Kasey Amerson, Caleb Amerson, Ethan Hart and Tucker Hart.

Mrs. Windham was a member of White Springs Baptist Church. She loved cooking for her family and others and loved her grandchildren. Allen and Helen Windham were founding partners, along with Larry and Janie Windham, in Windham Greenhouses, and she loved working there.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Troy and Rebecca Neal Nelms and brother, Marshall Nelms.

Survivors include her husband of 68 years, Allen Windham of Glenwood; children, Sharon (Larry) Hart of Glenwood, Larry (Janie) Windham of Glenwood, Sheila (Neil) Ingram of St. Augustine, FL and Felicia (Greg) Browning of Ballground, GA; 7 grandchildren, 9 great-grandchildren; sister, Dolores Harris of Glenwood and brother, Wendell Nelms of Lyons.
