Services for Hilton Steve Alligood, age 61, of Cadwell will be held on Wednesday, May 9, 2012 at 11:00 AM in the Chapel of Townsend Brothers Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Dublin Memorial Gardens. Rev. Joey Diers and Thurman Foskey will officiate. Mr. Alligood was a Veteran of the Georgia Army National Guard, serving our country for 35 years. He was a member of Centerville Baptist Church where he served as a deacon for 12 years. Mr. Alligood was also a member of the Laurens County Saddle Club and the Silver Spur Riding Club. He was preceded in death by his father, Hilton Eugene Alligood; mother, Marion Grace Alligood Hall and step-father, Calvin J. Hall. Steve passed away on Sunday, May 6, 2012 at his home. He is survived by his wife, Debra Brown Alligood of Cadwell, GA; son, Brian Steve (Angel) Alligood of Dublin, GA; daughter, Kristi Alligood (Brian) Guyton of Forsyth, GA; two granddaughters, Grace Ann Alligood and Chloe Kate Alligood, both of Dublin, GA; two sisters, Sue Alligood (Merle) Sikes of Dahlonega, GA and Debbie Alligood (Byron) Stewart of East Dublin, GA; mother-in-law, Virginia Brown (Walter) Townsend of East Dublin, GA; two aunts, Jackie (Bobby) Hattaway and Joyce (Jerry) Diehl, both of Macon, GA; two sisters-in-law, Janice Brown Alligood of Dexter, GA and Jan Brown of Dublin, GA and several nieces, nephews and cousins. Pallbearers will be the OMS 14 employees and retirees. Honorary pallbearers will be special friends. The family will receive friends on Tuesday from 6:00PM until 8:00PM at Townsend Brothers Funeral Home.
