Inez Hartley Garnto, age 85 of Dublin, passed away on Friday, July 31, 2015 after an extended illness. Graveside services will be held at 2:00PM on Sunday, August 2, 2015 at Graham Memorial Church of the Nazarene Cemetery. Rev. L.T. Logue will officiate. The family will receive friends on Saturday evening from 6:00PM until 8:00PM at Townsend Brothers Funeral Home. Mrs. Garnto was born in Laurens County to the late David Wesley and Maude Esther Horton Hartley. She was of the Pentecostal faith and enjoyed hosting Wilderness Bible Studies in her home. She was a retired seamstress, working many years with Hawkins Cleaners. She loved the outdoors, gardening, and flowers. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brothers, Buford, Eugene, Dewis, and Farris Hartley and a sister, Marie Curry. Survivors include her daughter, Esther Boyd of East Dublin; granddaughter, Veronica Norris (Eddie) of Soperton; great-grandson, Christopher Rowland (Brandi) of Brewton; step-great-grandchildren, Chris Norris (Jan) of Eastman, Brandon Norris (Courtney) of Havelock, NC and Jordan Norris of Vidalia, as well as several nieces and nephews. The family also wishes to express their gratitude to her caretakers, Kathy Linn and Mary Nelson for all of their kindness and help during her illness.
