Funeral services for Mr. J. B. Dean, 97, will be held on Tuesday, November 30th, 2021 at 11:00 AM in the chapel of Townsend Brothers Funeral Home. Reverend Robert Rogers will officiate.

He died at Lynn Haven Health and Rehab in Gray Georgia. Mr. Dean was a native of Laurens County, Georgia, and was the son of Robert Gordon Dean and Mollie Lee Watson Dean, both deceased. He was a native of Laurens County but had lived in Macon, Georgia for years. He was a member of Ivey Baptist Church in Ivey, Georgia.

Mr. Dean was born on October 14th, 1924, and was employed as an auto salesman for many years, both in Dublin and Macon.

He was predeceased by both parents; wife, Elizabeth M. Dean; along with several siblings: Anthony Wayne Dean, Mattie D. Townsend, William Albert Dean, and Bertha Dean; two sons, David Allen Dean and Larry Stephen Dean.

Survivors are his son, Phillip Lance Dean, and his wife, Sandra Dean; his sisters, Brenda D. White of Forest Park, Georgia; Virginia D. Kiser of Wylie, Texas, and Bobbie Dean of Dublin, Georgia, and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral Directors will serve as pallbearers.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home before the funeral.
