Jackie E. Allen, age 73, of Dublin, passed away on Wednesday, August 10, 2016.

Services will be held at 3:00PM on Sunday, August 14, 2016 at Gethsemane United Methodist Church. Burial will follow in Dublin Memorial Gardens. Rev. Donnie Baker will officiate. The family will receive friends on Saturday evening from 6:00PM until 8:00PM at Townsend Brothers Funeral Home.

Pallbearers will be Erik Chance, Jason Fennell, Brian Tapley, Brandon Tapley, Ryan White, Jacky Morton and Kyle Outlaw.

Mr. Allen was a member of Gethsemane United Methodist Church. He retired after many dedicated years of service at JP Stevens, Hooks, and Mohawk Industries. He was a loving father and grandfather.

Mr. Allen was preceded in death by his wife, Lois Allen; parents, Sylvester and Annette Allen; brothers, Perry Allen, Laymond Allen, Andrew Allen and Preston Allen and brother-in-law, James Underwood.

Survivors include his children; Ahme (Jeffery) Morton of Rentz, Jay (Pat) Outlaw of Dublin, Ellise (Dwane) Tapley of Dublin, Susan (Curt) Lanthrip of Lizella, Sabine (Dan) Fagan of Sharpsburg; 14 grandchildren; 8 great-grandchildren; brothers, Joe (Gail) Allen of Dublin, Glen Allen of Dudley, Ronnie (Margie) Allen of East Point and Willard (Ruth) Allen of Stockbridge; sister, Shelvia (Mike) Koontz of Cordele; sisters-in-law, Lynne (Joe) Peck of Locust Grove, Johnnie Allen of Dublin and Carolyn Allen of Warner Robins and numerous nieces and nephews. The family may also be contacted at the home of Ellise and Dwane Tapley.
