James Arnold Carpenter, age 72, of Dublin, passed away on June 30, 2017. Services will be held at 10:00AM on Tuesday, July 11, 2017, in the Chapel of Townsend Brothers Funeral Home, with visitation being held one hour prior to the service. Rev. George Grimes will officiate. Burial will be held at 1:00PM in the Georgia Veterans Memorial Cemetery in Milledgeville. Mr. Carpenter was a Veteran of the United States Navy. He was preceded in death by his wife Diana Perry Carpenter. Survivors include his trusted friend, Beverly Bixby, of Dublin; sisters, Frances Lamont, of Dublin and Elizabeth Rosasco, of Sound Beach, NY; step-daughter, Debra Jamet, of Long Island, NY and several nieces and nephews.
