James Dudley "Dud" Gordon, Jr., age 59, of Dublin, passed away on Saturday, August 13, 2016. Graveside services will be held at 10:00AM on Thursday, August 18, 2016 in Cedar Grove United Methodist Church Cemetery. Rev. Charles Lowery will officiate. The family will receive friends on Wednesday evening from 6:00PM until 8:00PM at Townsend Brothers Funeral Home. Pallbearers will be Albert Prince, Ricky Lewis, Mitchell Childers, Bobby Johnson, Bill Josey, and Gene Mosley. Mr. Gordon was a former employee with Oxford Shirt Factory and served as shop foreman at Bassett Furniture for many years. He was an avid gun collector and enjoyed working on guns. He loved going to dirt track races, watching NASCAR, hunting and spending time with his family and friends. Dud was preceded in death by his wife, Jeanne Gordon and parents, James Dudley Gordon and Irene Cosby Gordon. He is survived by his sons; Dustin Gordon and Dillon Gordon (April West), both of Dublin; brother, Tracy Gordon (Stephanie Jones) of Dublin; grandson, Dawson Gordon of Dublin and niece, Taylor Gordon of Dublin.
