Services for James "Buddy" Kennedy, age 73, of East Dublin, will be held at 10:00 AM, Friday, July 31, 2015, in the Chapel of Townsend Brothers Funeral Home. Burial will follow at Dublin Memorial Gardens. Rev. Kendall Ward, Rev. Josh Wood, and Rev. Jim Yeomans will officiate. The family will receive friends from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM, Thursday at the Funeral Home. Mr. Kennedy died Wednesday, July 29, 2015. Mr. Kennedy was of the Holiness faith and a truck driver with Laurens County. He was preceded in death by his parents, Wyman Kennedy and Lucille Kennedy. Survivors include his wife, Jean Ely Kennedy, of East Dublin; children, Lisa (Jack) Spivey of Rockledge and Sonny (Bonnylee) Kennedy of Henderson, NV; grandchildren, T. J. Spivey and Kimberly Spivey of Rockledge and Kolton Hadley of Soperton; and siblings, Annette Harris of Pendergrass, GA, Martha Arnold of Barnesville, GA, and Sheryl Wood of Dublin.
