James Hawley (Mac) McCullars, age 75, of Dublin, passed away Tuesday, February 21, 2017. Services will be held at 2:00PM on Thursday, February 23, 2017 in the Chapel of Townsend Brothers Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Northview Cemetery. Rev. Nolon McDaniel will officiate.

The family will receive friends from 12:30PM until funeral hour on Thursday at Townsend Brothers Funeral Home. Pallbearers will be Ryan McCullars, Adam McCullars, Danny McCullars, Alfred McCullars, Will Haywood, and Donnie McCullers. Mr. McCullars was a member of the Army Reserves and Snow Hill Baptist Church. He was previously employed as a security guard at Fairview Park Hospital after retiring from Forstman and H&W Tire Company. He was preceded in death by his parents, Willie A. and Georgia Ann Beck McCullars, and siblings, Ruby McCullars, W.D. McCullars, Effie Thomas, Clyde McCullars, Nell Allen, Pearl Heath, and Gerald McCullers. Survivors include his wife of 54 years, Faye Stinson McCullars, of Dublin; son, Randy McCullars (Dana), of Dublin; daughter, Rhonda McCullars, of Dublin; brothers, Artrell McCullars (Betty), of Dublin, Durell McCullars, of Cadwell, and Charles McCullars (Linda), of Dublin; sisters- in- law, Mavis McCullars, of East Dublin, and Fay Lord Stinson, of Hazlehurst; brother-in-law, Charles (Jimmie) Haywood of Dublin; loving companion Tinkerbell "Tink"; four grand dogs, Ginger, Pookie, Sassy, and Bobbi Sue, and numerous nieces and nephews.
